High Emotions:

With spring comes the climax of the football season, and in a win-draw-or-lose sport, something is sure to be unhappy.
Even when a club does well, trouble can arise, as in June 2023 when Manchester City won the Champions League final, in Istanbul that led to disorder in Manchester city centre. Cases have still been coming before the courts this spring, such as a fan jailed for jumping up and down on a police vehicle and doing £10,000 in damage so that it had been written off. Clubs doing worse than expected, such as Manchester United and Tottenham, has led to protests inside and outside grounds. Fans’ tempers fray if their clubs get relegated, as some must.
